SeaWorld Orlando Resort Solo Trip: 11 Pro Tips for Traveling Alone (2023)

The SeaWorld Orlando Resort solo experience is one that you must try on your theme park trip.

Why?

Because, there’s nothing so invigorating like the freedom of traveling to theme parks alone.

One of the few aquatic attractions left in the nation is SeaWorld, an oceanic adventure park that can be enjoyed as a half-day or whole-day park, depending on your goals for that day.

What to Expect at SeaWorld Orlando on Your Solo Trip?

The SeaWorld Orlando Resort is absolutely beautiful and is in the same family as Busch Gardens.

When approaching the park gates, you’ll be greeted with a stunning, watery entrance reminiscent of a gorgeous bay in San Diego.

Once in the park gates, you’re transported into aquatic thrills (as noted by the beautiful Manta roller coaster in the front), tropical sounds, and colorful topiary visions of SeaWorld.

The addition of Infinity Falls, Ice Breaker, and the hypercoaster Mako, continues to make SeaWorld a competitive theme park.

1. Start Small with Solo Travel

Traveling this way can be scary to some theme park fans, such as yourself. I recommend easing your way into traveling solo.

Maybe start by having lunch or dinner alone at a restaurant or maybe go to a movie by yourself.

You can also try arriving to Orlando one day prior to your party’s arrival, then do a couple of hours at a water park or a smaller amusement park like Fun Spot by yourself to see if you even like going to a theme park alone.

This may just convince you to try a whole day at another park, like Epcot, on your own.

Many of the animals are tough to see in your lifetime, so I love how SeaWorld makes sure they educate you on each animal residing in the park.

10. Take Advantage of the Quick Queue Pass

This line can cut your wait time in half and that’s always a benefit of going to a theme park alone. It allows you to get around to most of the attractions quickly, because you don’t have to wait in the normal ride line.

  1. I go to Universal Orlando Resort on my own and I always have a wonderful time. I recently became a SeaWorld Orlando Pass Member. Is there an easy way to store cell phones, because the lockers at SeaWorld cost a fee, but the ones at Universal at all their attractions are free.

    • Hi Josh!

Congrats on becoming a Pass Member with SeaWorld Orlando. I love having my annual pass.

For my solo trips I try to wear shorts/pants with zippers on the pockets so that I can store my phone there. It may help but it’s not 100% guaranteed that nothing will fly out.

I also rent a locker for the day that allows me to switch lockers for all the roller coasters without an extra fee.

      I hope this helps!
