Are you looking for the absolute BEST shoes for Disney World?
One of the few things we fail to consider when we prepare for our visit to theme parks is the footwear.
I personally average 13-14k steps during one theme park day where on a normal day, I hit 9-10k steps.
Safe to say, leg day will be every day during your Disney visit.
When visiting the Sunshine State, you should be mindful to make sure your hydrated in order to adjust to the Florida heat and humidity.
What you will most likely not get told is to get comfortable shoes. You will have to be ready to stand in long lines and walk for several hours.
Comfort and care for your feet should be one of your biggest considerations.
The question remains then, “What kind of shoes should I wear to Walt Disney World?”
You will want to consider a shoe that will give you sole support, especially in your arch and heel.
Also, you will want something with some sort of cushioning and not too tight. You wouldn’t want to get any pain or injuries that could do damage.
I have compiled a list of some appropriate footwear from Amazon that would best fit the needs of a theme park visitor!

But in all seriousness, if the name of the shoe is a hint to the brilliance of this product, you will get quality.

4. Nike Zoom Winflo 6 Running Shoes
This shoe comes from one of the most, if not the most well-known and popular show brand in the world: Nike.
The Nike Zoom Winflo 6 is another shoe that I own, and think it’s great.
- Running shoes
- Breathable mesh upper
- 2 Zoom Air units for increased cushioning
However, I will say that I did have to get a Scholl’s gel insole for my personal comfort since the sole that came with it didn’t give me the support I needed.
That is something to keep in mind if you plan on buying these for the theme parks, exercising, etc.
Why We Love It: This shoe has been around for about 3-4 years and is fairly comfortable. I would also suggest going up a size.
You won’t have to worry about your feet getting soaked when the Florida rains come since they are made with a weatherproof and water-resistant material that will protect your feet.
What allows for additional comfort and keeping the water out is the seamless seams.
So let this be the warning to always check the weather before you head to Orlando haha.
As I mentioned previously, I personally switched soles.

However, the rubber sole that the shoe comes with assist with traction when walking or running on wet surfaces.
So, if you do switch, keep the soles just in case.

Do You Have to Wear Shoes at Disney World?
Shoes (footwear) are required at Walt Disney World. The only restrictions are the sneakers with the wheels on them. Also known as “heelies.”
You are able to wear those shoes, you just have to make sure that the wheels are not released while in the park.
Are Flip Flops Good for Disney World?
Flip Flops are not the best options for a day Disney. However, if you have some at home that are comfortable and broken into, then you may feel better wearing them to the Disney Parks.
If you plan on having a long day in the theme parks, then I recommend one of the sneakers on this list as you’ll be do a LOT of walking!
