Planning Your Outfits for Disney World in July
Summer is in full swing, so you know what you should do?
Buy yourself a ticket to one of Disney’s two water parks and spend the day sliding and cooling off at a fun place for kids of all ages!
A sun hat is also a great idea. Keep in mind that anything you wear to the Disney water parks has a large chance of getting soaked!
Dresses can be good as long as they are short-sleeved or sleeveless.
Fourth of July at Walt Disney World
If you’re traveling to WDW in early July…this is the perfect opportunity to dress in a 4th of July theme. Rock some red, white, and blue if you so choose.
Add some stars or stripes to deck out your Disney outfit and give it a bit of decoration.
These can actually keep you quite cool in the summer time! Keep shorts and skirts lightweight and comfortable.
You’re going to be wearing them all day in the sun after all.
As long as you’re wearing summer-friendly clothing, you’ll be in good shape. Leave the long-sleeves and jackets at home, friends!
It’s also not a bad idea to bring a rain jacket or poncho (your choice!) along with you.
Disney World can get rainy in the summertime, and you want to be prepared! But more on the weather later.

Prepare for Water Rides at Disney World
So friend, when thinking about what to wear to Disney world in July, you obviously want to incorporate cool clothing (as in, not warm) and your most comfortable shoes for lots and lots of walking.
That being said, it’s a good idea to keep in mind that you will very likely get sprayed with water sometime during your day at the park, and let us tell you why:
Magic Kingdom actually has a splash pad area for the kiddos. But adults can join in the fun too! Just be prepared to get splashed.
Water rides are your friend at Disney World in July. It helps cool your body down and distracts from the Florida heat for a few minutes.
A lot of Disney guests will purposely choose rides such as Kali River Rapids, Pirates of The Caribbean, or the Jungle Cruise.
With the other rides mentioned, you *could* get wet, but it may not be a big deal.
What to Wear in July to Disney World for Men
With all of these rides in mind, wear clothing items that you don’t mind getting wet!

Walt Disney World Weather in July
It’s probably helpful to have a good idea of the weather for July in Orlando, right?
Orlando’s July is one of the hottest months of the year. Knowing this in advance when packing for Disney World is a big help.
Expect highs in the 90’s and lows around the mid 70’s. It’s hot to be sure, but don’t worry!
You can escape the sun by choosing indoor experiences that are cool and air conditioned.
One of these examples is every history-loving dad’s favorite…The American Adventure at EPCOT and The Hall of President’s in Magic Kingdom.
These are nice sit-down opportunities to break up the walking through the parks.
Disney Festivals in July
Mid-July through mid-November is the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT.
This is one of the most highly-anticipated festivals throughout the year at Disney World!
The festival offers outstanding Outdoor Kitchens in every country of the World Showcase, much like with the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival, but dare I say that the Epcot Food & Wine Festival offers even better culinary and beverage options?
So, as long as you dress weather-appropriate, you’ll be in excellent shape!
Best Accessories for Your Disney World Outfit
So, obviously you need some adorable accessories to compliment your Disney World outfits.
Sunglasses double as a cute accessory and also a summer-must have item.
If you own any Disney jewelry, now’s your chance to show it off!
Avoid accessories that might irritate your skin if you’re sweating, including: chokers, ascots, scarves, or even watches depending on the size.
Think more on the side of breathable socks and cute hats that protect your face and shoulders from getting sunburned.
Disney Bounding in July
How should you Disney Bound for July? You have so many options!
If you’re aiming for patriotic, go for a Captain America theme to your Disney Bounding.
Go for red, white, blue, and maybe some gold stars or even the Captain America logo to add to your look.
Another option, is to emulate one of the “Dapper Dan” quartet men from Main Street, U.S.A. Imagine some saddle shoes and a straw hat. It doesn’t get more classic than that!
What to Pack for Disney World in July
WDW has refill stations throughout the park and this is a great environmentally-friendly (and cost effective!) way to stay hydrated all day.
Consider a portable fan that you can wear on a lanyard. This will help to keep you cool throughout the day.
Pack at least one these in your Disney bag:
Top 5 Tips For Choosing the Best Disney World Outfit When Packing For July
Now that you know what to wear to Disney World in July, let’s go over my top tips for planning your theme park outfits.
1. Neutrals Are Good
If aesthetic is what you’re going for, pair items together that have a neutral, cohesive look.
For example, pair a gray tank top with black leggings. Or a white top with tan shorts.
Neutrals are great, because not only are they flattering, but you can accessorize however you want!
Choose more vibrant earrings or a hat, to amp up the look.
2. Big and Small Options
Another tip, if neutrals aren’t your cup of tea, is to try the big/little or little/big approach.
This is where you wear an oversized tee with smaller shorts or a tailored top with long wide-leg leggings.
You get the idea. Choose one element to emphasize and go for it!
