Are you looking for the best counter service restaurants to eat at when you visit Hollywood Studios?

If so, you’re in the right place.

One thing I don’t see a lot of my fellow Disney theme park fans talk about is how decent the food options at Disney’s Hollywood Studios actually are!

If you dig, you can find some amazing dishes to sit and chow down on.

Even the glitz and glamour of Hollywood doesn’t have to break your wallets.

Today, I will be talking about 5 of the best quick service restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

1. ABC Commissary

Starting this list off in no particular order is ABC Commissary!

Our first stop is located on Commissary Lane, towards the left hand side of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and behind the Frozen Sing Along theater.

Here, you can feast on fare with international flair amid Art Deco in the studio inspired commissary dining area.

Disney World Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary Quick Service Restaurant birria tacos. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

Long story short, you can dine in an eating area that’s similar to the ones that people who work in Hollywood studios dine in on their breaks!

It is very neat to walk in as you see palm trees that add to the Hollywood feel. And if you explore a bit, you’ll find props from some of your favorite ABC shows.

During a recent visit, I stumbled across props from the hit show, “Abbott Elementary!”

ABC Commissary Hours

ABC Commissary is available for lunch and dinner from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., but hours are subject to change.

Prices at ABC Commissary

You can usually find items for $14.99 and under per adult for entrees generally.

What type of food does ABC Commissary serve?

ABC Commissary serves American style food, so great for picky eaters or little ones making it one of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios!

What should I try here?

I would highly suggest giving the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Chicken Club Sandwich a shot! Its a twist on two American classics, buffalo chicken and grilled cheese! You really can’t lose.

It features grilled sourdough toasted with buffalo chicken, Monterey, provolone, cheddar, and sour cream served with a side of buffalo sauce and a side of your choice. It costs $11.99.

ABC Commissary Hollywood Fries with gravy and cheese and Happy Daze orange adult cocktail. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.
Be Sure to Order Steak Fries with a Happy Daze Cocktail!

Pair it with the “Happy Daze” drink, which is a blended concoction of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, melon liqueur, banana liqueur and grenadine with orange and pineapple juices.

The sandwich gives you a great sense of having a comfort food and the drink itself is fruity and delightful to sip on!

Why We Love this Quick Service Restaurant at Hollywood Studios

Besides having familiar and awesome food and drink options, the venue is indoors and quiet. Most of the time, guests walk past it and miss it altogether.

It’s a great place to cool down and rest during your busy park day.

Although if you’re fine with dining outdoors, there is seating there as well. Which is great if you’re like me and enjoy people watching and being in fresh air.

It’s close to all the big draws of that area of the park such as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey and Minnie’s Meet-and-Greet, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Muppetvision.

Making it one of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

Is Mobile Order Available at ABC Commissary?

Yes, mobile order is available at this location. You can look at the full menu here.

2. PizzeRizzo

Moving right along, we have a slightly controversial hitter on the list, PizzeRizzo!

PizzeRizzo gets a slightly bad rep within the Disney community for not being good. However, I believe that when it comes to food, what we consider “good” is highly subjective.

Disney Hollywood Studios PizzerRizzo Entrance. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

PizzeRizzo fits nicely in Grand Avenue area of the park, specifically in the Muppets Courtyard.

This Italian eatery within this friendly neighborhood joint is run by, you might have guessed it, Rizzo the Rat!

It serves up pizza, meatball subs, antipasto salads and more.

PizzeRizzo Hours

This eatery is open for lunch and dinner between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with hours subject to change.

Prices at PizzeRizzo

This location has entrees at $14.99 and under for entrees per adult.

What should I try here?

Simply enough, if you’re looking for something that’s familiar, I would suggest a Pepperoni Pizza for $12.29.

Cheese Pizza at PizzeRizzo Counter Service and Quick Service Restaurant at Hollywood Studios in Disney World.

While they do have different kinds of pizza , this is a classic you can’t go wrong with. Now if you have a sweet tooth, definitely give the Pizza Cookie a try!

Pepperoni Pizza at PizzeRizzo Counter Service and Quick Service Restaurant at Hollywood Studios in Disney World.

It’s a scrumptious sugar cookie topped with strawberry jam, white chocolate and sprinkles for $4.79. Its affordable and yummy!

Or if you want classic Italian, they do serve up cannolis, which are my personal favorite kind of dessert.

Disney Hollywood Studios PizzeRizzo Mobile Ordering. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

For drinks, they serve up non alcoholic Frozen Peach Bellinis that are perfect for spring and summertime for $6.49. But if you simply have to have your big kid drink, well, you’re in luck!

Cannoli and Frozen Italian Margarita

You simply HAVE to try their Frozen Italian Margarita. Blended with Caravella Lemonciello, orange juice and sweet and sour featuring Cuervo Gold Tequila, this one for $16 is delicious!

I’m not normally a fan of drinks with tequila but this one stole my heart.

Why We Love this Quick Service Restaurant at Hollywood Studios

While it only serves up simple Italian fares, it is an underrated gem in my opinion. Because people write it off, it tends to be fairly empty.

The space is also two floors, meaning there is plenty of space and you won’t be searching long for seating indoors.

My favorite part of the restaurant is the “Wedding Room.” It is themed for locals to Grand Avenue who want to have their wedding receptions in the neighborhood.

It has a disco ball, lights, subtle wedding decor and a dance floor with tunes spinning!

Plus, it’s such a fun little area and my friends and I make a beeline here every time we dine here. It’s located on the second floor towards the very back.

Is Mobile Order Available at PizzeRizzo?

Yes, Mobile order is available at this location. In the meantime, take a look at Rizzo’s menu here.

3. Fairfax Fare

Let’s head to a different part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a bit!

One of my absolute new favorites for Hollywood studios is Fairfax Fare.

Located snuggly on sunset boulevard, right in the shadow of the Hollywood Tower of Terror, here you can dig into some waffle bowls!

Now these Waffle Bowls don’t have ice cream in them.

They are filled with savory bites like chicken, pork or brisket. And yes vegan friends, they got you covered too!

The serve up this take on American style fares and its by far my go to.

Fairfax Fare Hours

Fairfax Fare is serving up lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with hours subject to change.

Prices at Fairfax Fare

This kiosk location has entrees for adults at $14.99 and under per adult.

What should I try here?

It is hard to choose for me but two options i adored were the BBQ Beef Brisket Bowl and the Korean BBQ Pork Belly Bowl.

Both are $15.29 each and absolutely filling and insanely good!

The BBQ beef brisket bowl has braised beef tossed in barbecue sauce and topped with pickled jalapeños, red onion and corn chips served on house made queso and mashed potatoes in the famous waffle bowl.

The Korean BBQ pork belly bowl has braised pork belly tossed in Korean barbecue sauce topped with Korean salad and green onions served on mashed potatoes in the famous waffle bowl.

Both dishes are so savory and I can’t get enough of either. For dessert, they only serve one but it’s very decadent.

If you try the Enchanted Rose, you’ll be treated to a dark chocolate mousse with a taste of blackcurrant and morello cherry chocolate shortbread cookie, whipped cookies n cream fluff and gilded chocolate covered cacao nibs.

I wouldn’t suggest this if you aren’t into chocolate however, but it costs only $5.79.

For drinks, I would definitely try the Belle Cup of Enchantment, especially if you’re a boba drink fan!

This non alcoholic drink has cranberry and passion fruit orange guava juices topped with yellow shimmer and strawberry boba pearls.

It’s refreshing and makes for an aesthetic Instagram boomerang! It costs $7.29

Why We Love this Quick Service Restaurant at Hollywood Studios

I love that it gives you something different than the average theme park fare.

Sure you can go get a hot dog or a pretzel, but these are affordable meals that are filling, savory and absolutely mouth watering.

I particularly appreciate the types of meat and plant based items that they offer.

On top of this, there is shaded outdoor seating right next door, where you can take a brief pause on your park day.

Sure the screams from Tower of Terror and the beauty and the beast show will be in the background, but it’ll be fine haha!

Making it one of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

Is Mobile Order Available at Fairfax Fare?

Yes, this location does have mobile order option. Take a look at their menu here.

4. Backlot Express

Now I may be biased for this next one, as this is one of the places I worked during my Disney College Program many many moons ago.

Disney World Hollywood Studios Backlot Express Restaurant. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

However, just trust me when I say there are some decent fares here, along with some park history too that you might admire.

The savory and flavorful dishes are decent and there’s plenty more where that came from!

Backlot Express Hours

The Backlot Express serves lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with hours subject to change

Prices at Backlot Express

You’re looking at $14.99 and under per entree for adults.

What should I try here?

My two favorites from Backlot Express would be the Chicken Strips (which are gluten free), Teryaki Chicken bowl and the smoked BBQ pulled pork burger!

As you can tell, I’m a big meat eater, but a lot of these locations do have plant based options as well. Check out the menu here for more details!

The Teriyaki Chicken Bowl has seasoned jasmine rice, teriyaki chicken, yuzu pickled edamame, carrots, cucumber and onions drizzled with house made lemon tahini chipotle vinaigrette and sesame seeds.

Disney World Hollywood Studios Backlot Express Restaurant Halloween Ghost Cupcake. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

I particularly love this one because it leans more on a healthy, Asian cuisine blend. Its not your average theme park meal and its filling for only $13.29.

The Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger has a 1/3 angus beef burger with slow smoked pulled pork, American cheese, coleslaw, crispy onions and house made sweet and tangy barbecue sauce.

Pulled Pork Barbecue Burger Sandwich at Disney's Hollywood Studios Backlot Express.

It comes with a side of your choice as well for $15.29.

Here is where you get the famous cupcakes and the Wookiee Cookie too! This is a star wars cookie themed to the famous sidekick from the film franchise that’s a popular Instagram prop for IG girlies.

You get two oatmeal cookies with vanilla cream filling in between, garnished with a milk chocolate sash on top for $6.79.

My personal go to big kid drink is the Rum Island Breeze, which has parrot bay coconut rum, Bacardi Superior Rum, pineapple juice, minute maid lemonade and grenadine for $15.

As you can probably tell, I’m a rum person.

Why We Love this Quick Service Restaurant at Hollywood Studios

It brings you back to what Disney’s Hollywood Studios used to be like when it comes to its original theme.

Disney Hollywood Studios Backlot Express Restaurant Dining Area. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

It is themed as a studio backlot, therefore you will find quite a few actual props and such throughout the restaurant.

For example, there is a car there that is from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” smack dab in the middle of the restaurant!

Disney Hollywood Studios Backlot Express Restaurant Chicken Strips and Fries. One of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

It feels like a really big warehouse. It’s very spacious and indoors, with plenty of space. The menu itself is unique and different compared to other fares through the park.

Is Mobile Order Available at the Backlot Express?

Yes, mobile order is available at this location. Take a look at the menu here.

5. Woody’s Lunch Box

I bet you might have wondered if this one was going to make it onto my list!

Well have no fear because it is indeed, here, last and certainly not least. When you enter Toy Story Land, you enter Andy’s backyard as a toy.

With Woody’s Lunchbox, Andy’s taken his lunch box and turned it into a backyard walk-up window serving tasty eats & treats.

This experience can only be found at Toy Story Land, in Hollywood Studios and you can look at the offerings here.

Take the pathway behind Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway or take the scenic route through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to make it to the backyard!

Woody’s Lunch Box Hours

This is the only location on our list that is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Breakfast is from 8:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m., switching to lunch and dinner from 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. This location is the one with the latest hours on this list.

Prices at Woody’s Lunch Box

For both breakfast, lunch and dinner, entrees per adult are $14.99 and under.

What should I try here?

For this section, I will break it down by the time of day.

Breakfast

There’s really only one option for breakfast and that’s the breakfast bowl.

But trust me when I say, its worth heading into toy story land for! Its very filling and a great way to get energy to push through your park day.

It has a hearty portion of potato barrels smothered in smoked brisket country gravy, scrambled eggs and a dash of green onions for only $8.79!

Hipster Power Tip: My pro tip is to ALWAYS ask for extra cheese!

Lunch and Dinner

There is quite a bit here to choose from, and great portion sizes too, which adds to its popularity.

Tochos

Starting with its signature dish, “Totchos.”

For $10.49, you can fill up on potato barrels coated with beef and bean chili, shredded cheese and signature queso with tomatoes and corn chips finished with sour cream and green onions.

Tater Tots Totchos Barrels at Toy Story Land Woody's Lunch Box

It is the BEST dish at the location and I imagine you’ll be taking leftovers with you, if you’re like me.

Grilled Three Cheese Sandwich

Another dish that fits the theme of Toy Story Land are the BBQ Brisket Melt ($13.29) and the Grilled Three Cheese Sandwich. For $10.29, you can take this meal to-go, if you so choose.

It boasts melted provolone, cheddar and American on grilled sourdough bread and i find it buttery and reminiscent of my childhood. Buy the Tomato Basil Soup for $3.99 for the full effect!

Raspberry Lunch Box Tart

Woody’s Lunch Box is also known for their signature treat, “Box Tarts.” To put it simply, its a bigger, fuller version of a pop tart.

I wasn’t a believer of the hype at first admittedly, but BELIEVE IT!

They generally have a seasonal version and the Raspberry Lunch Box Tart daily.

It has raspberry marmalade stuffed within the pastry coated in a strawberry fondant and crispy pearls. Its majorly good.

Fair warning, it is very sweet but affordable at only $4.79.

Grown Up’s Lemonade

For your big kid’s drink, the number 1 recommendation is the “Grown Up’s Lemonade,” which has cherry vodka, Minute Maid lemonade and black cherry puree. It’s simple and strong for my liking and only $14.

Red Grown Up's Lemonade at Woody Lunch Box in Toy Story Land from Woody's Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios

A great treat is the Ice Cream Float with Barq’s Root Beer, perfect for hot days and if you’re a souvenir cup person, try the Frozen Mystic Portal punch in the alien sipper.

It has powerade mountain berry blast with lemon lime and tangerine flavors. Very yummy in my book and only $6.99.

Making it one of the best counter service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.

Is Mobile Order Available at Woody’s Lunch Box?

Mobile order is available at this location and is one of the more popular places to mobile order, so expect a bit of a wait.
