The Best Day to Visit EPCOT
Let’s chat about planning your trip to EPCOT and other parks so you can make the most of your time.
If you’re looking for the best days to hit up EPCOT, aim for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
Here’s the deal: a lot of families kick off their vacations on the weekend, usually starting at Magic Kingdom.
On the flip side, EPCOT has become a haven for food and drink lovers, attracting more locals, especially on Friday nights and weekends. So, it’s wise to steer clear of those days!
Best Time of the Day to Visit EPCOT
This goes for all Disney parks: if you want to make the most of your day with minimal waiting, try to arrive right before the park opens in the morning.
This way, you’ll be among the first in line for that must-ride attraction on your list.
As the crowds start to build in the afternoon, you can take a breather back at your hotel and then head back to the park later in the evening when more guests are winding down and leaving.
This approach works like a charm, no matter when you decide to visit!

When is the best time of the year to visit EPCOT?
If you can manage to visit the parks any time during the year, you’ll notice it’s a lot easier to navigate with fewer people around.
Just a quick reminder: while there used to be completely crowd-free times, those days are pretty much gone.
That said, there are definitely times that are much less crowded.
Be sure to check out the EPCOT Crowd Calendar for the dates you’re considering. Here are the best times to experience EPCOT and Disney World this year:
Late January-February
January and February are the BEST months to check out Disney’s EPCOT and any other Disney parks.
After the holiday rush slows down by the second week of January, you’ll find that things calm down quite a bit.
There aren’t any big events or holidays (except for the MLK, Valentine’s Day, and Presidents Day weekends) until spring break kicks off in early March.

This creates an awesome opportunity for your family to visit, with shorter lines and cooler weather!
Late April and Early May
So, if you’re planning a trip, the last week of April and the first couple of weeks of May are pretty sweet.
There’s this little break between when the spring break crowds clear out and the summer rush kicks in, making it a great time to hit the parks and really make the most of your visit.
Sure, it’s starting to warm up a bit, but it’s still nice and pleasant out, so you’ll have a great time!
Early September and Early October
If you’re considering a trip to Disney from early September to early October, you’re really in for something special! This is generally a time when the crowds are lighter.

Plus, October is when you can experience Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. It’s such a blast with all the special entertainment and a chance to meet some cool characters!
When is the worst time of the year to visit EPCOT?
I have listed a few times that you’ll want to avoid EPCOT this year. Please keep in mind that opening days at EPCOT’s food festivals can be crowded as well.
The Summer: June, July and August
When summer hits, the heat and crowds can really be a lot to handle.

And when those typical 3 p.m. rain showers roll in, you might find yourself wishing you’d picked a different time to visit!
Christmastime (November and December)
Christmas at Disney kicks off pretty quickly after Halloween, and honestly, November and December can get super busy. The week of Christmas leading into the new year?
Yeah, it’s packed to the brim, making it feel a bit less magical than you’d hope.
While the holiday decorations are stunning, many families will tell you that the downsides of visiting during the holidays tend to outweigh the positives.
If you’re really eager to experience Christmas at Disney, try to plan your visit right before or right after Thanksgiving!
