What to Wear in December to Disney World for Women
The weather is just pretty downright delightful in Orlando in December. It’s not sweltering like the summertime, but it’s not freezing, either – (usually.)
When taking a Disney trip during December, I like to dress for the season a little.
If you’re not going to the parks for the whole day, you might even be able to get away with boots without hurting your feet too much.
Jeans would definitely be fine this time of year, as there’s often enough of a chill in the air.
Leggings are always my tried and true suggestion, because they’re just so darn comfortable.
You could sport a cute beanie or scarf if you wanted!
Or you might want to take it off by the afternoon, but you’d be able to wear it long enough for photos and a few rides, for sure.
Lastly, you can even wear long-sleeve t-shirts this time of year. Just don’t layer up too much. It’s still Florida, y’all!

What to Wear in December to Disney World for Men
Guys, I told you it was The Most Wonderful Time of The Year, and I meant it! That includes wonderful weather.
So, for your list of what to wear to Disney World in December, go for a long-sleeve t-shirt!
No, really! It’ll probably be breezy enough to wear long-sleeves.
Ballcaps are excellent for December, because the sun still might be in your eyes, even if it’s not beating down on you all day.
And listen, I know it might seem silly, but sunscreen is still necessary!
Did You Know? You can get sunburned even in overcast weather. It’s true!
Jeans would be fine this time of year, although you may still opt not to wear them, as walking around the parks in jeans all day may be uncomfortable. It’s up to you!
Walt Disney World Weather in December
In December, WDW has typical highs of mid to low 70s and lows of mid 50s! Sounds almost unbelievable, right?
It must be the magic of December and Disney working together.
December is typically a drier month, so you could always bring the ponchos if you love to be prepared for anything, but truthfully, you probably won’t need them at all.
I recommend less open-toed footwear this time of year, as it can be chilly. Light jackets and sweaters are a great idea.
And as we always say, check the weather before you leave town! It will make such a difference.
Sometimes just days before you leave, something drastic happens in the weather patterns.
If the temperature suddenly drops, you’ll be glad you checked in advance. Take it from the pro!

In Disney World, they know how to celebrate the season.
There’s so much happening, including Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (an absolute must).
As well as the unbelievable Gingerbread House display at the Disney Resort Hotels and the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT!
The snacks and treats are festive too! You know Disney doesn’t leave out a single detail.

It’s truly an awesome experience to expose yourself to.
Expect elaborate holiday-inspired parades and special editions of your favorite live shows.
What to Pack for Disney World in December
It could be colder than you predict. Because it’s still December, it wouldn’t hurt you to pack a few extra layers in case the temperatures get colder.
Bring a scarf, some warm socks, and 1-2 outer layers. Just in case!
Your Disney World packing list needs the essentials:
- A portable phone charger (With all the photos you’ll be taking of the holiday décor, your phone will need a bit more charge.)

But don’t forget to be festive. Wear some jingle bells or Mickey Christmas socks. You know you have them and you know you want to show them off.
