Are you ready to some of the BEST Wizarding World of Harry Potter food on your next trip?
Imagine stepping into the world of Harry Potter, where Hogwarts Castle is larger than life, Gringotts Bank has a massive fire-breathing dragon on the rooftop, and Butterbeer flows freely.
That’s exactly what you get when you step foot into The Wizarding Work of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.
While the attractions are thrilling and the shops look like they leaped off the page of one of the Harry Potter books, the food is also worth trying out.
Here at ThemeParkHipster we love trying out as much as we can inside the theme parks, and that means tucking in to fish and chips and loads of other British delights in the place where witches and wizards roam.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter- Diagon Alley
There are two sections of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the first, located inside Universal Studios Florida is Diagon Alley.
This is where Harry Potter and his friends bought all of the supplies they needed for school, and where the wizard bank Gringotts is. There are also some delectable treats located in this area.
Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour
Ice cream and hot Florida days at a theme park just go together, and at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour you can find some unique flavors including Butterbeer, toffee, and earl grey and lavender.
If we had to pick just one ice cream to get it would be a combination of clotted cream and earl grey and lavender in a waffle cone. The two flavors are quintessentially British and not like anything else you can get in other ice cream places.

The Leaky Cauldron
Inside Diagon Alley you’ll also find The Leaky Cauldron, which looks to us just like we imagined it in our minds as we were reading the Harry Potter books.
The fast-casual restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we’ve been known to eat here a few times a day because it’s just that good.
Breakfast
One thing that cannot be missed in the morning is the traditional breakfast, which is the equivalent of a full English with eggs, sausage, black pudding, English bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, and breakfast potatoes.
Lunch and Dinner
For lunch and dinner we implore you to get the fish and chips, which is battered north Atlantic cod that’s been fried along with steak fries and tartar sauce. You’ve likely had this other places, but this is one of the best meals at Universal Orlando Resort.
The other option we usually try to stick with is the Scotch Eggs, which is a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage, and breadcrumbs then fried. This is served warm with apple beet salad and a tangy mustard sauce.
Check out the menu here.
The Fountain of Fair Fortune
When it’s time to grab a drink and relax the one spot to go at Diagon Alley is The Fountain of Fair Fortune.
This pub style bar is serving up some wizards classics like Butterbeer and pumpkin juice, along with beer made just for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Our favorite hack here is to order one regular or frozen Butterbeer and a shot of Fire Whiskey (which tastes a lot like Fireball) and mix them together for a sweet cinnamon drink that you can enjoy inside the bar or while walking around outside.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter- Hogsmeade
After taking the Hogwarts Express from Diagon Alley you’ll end up inside Hogsmeade, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter area inside Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
This is where you’ll find Hogwarts Castle, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and a few spots to grab a bite to eat and refuel.
Three Broomsticks
The Three Broomsticks is often where Harry Potter and his gaggle of friends would head after a long day of studying to grab a bite to eat and drink with a round of Butterbeer.
This fast-casual restaurant only serves lunch and dinner and gets busy fairly quickly when they do open.
The menu is similar to the one at The Leaky Cauldron with items like fish and chips. However, the real star here is the beef pasties with a garden salad.
The pasties are a pastry pie that’s been filled with ground beef, vegetables, and potatoes, and served with a side salad. This is a filling lunch or dinner that will keep you energized as you bounce from attraction to attraction.

3 Pro Universal Orlando Tips Just for You!
When it comes to dining at Universal Orlando Resort there are some key things to remember.
- Mobile order is your friend. By downloading the Universal Orlando Resort app you can save time standing in line at restaurants. You can order your meals while in line for attractions. Just be sure to have a credit card set up and attached to your account and note the return times for your meal.
- Try not to dine at prime times. This should go without saying but noon and six o’clock are going to be the busiest times at restaurants because that’s when most people eat dinner. If you can, try to eat an early or late lunch or dinner to beat the crowds and actually be able to find a table at the restaurants.
- Do not discount the power of snacks. Sometimes the best food at Universal Orlando Resort is actually at the snack carts, or inside a grab-and-go spot. This definitely includes any ice cream you might find inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Let’s Wrap This Up…
We hope this has helped you plan out what to eat while exploring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Happy eating!
