Stop 2. Conquer Maverick
Now that you’re warmed up, it’s time to saddle up and take on the bucking bronco of Cedar Point, Maverick!
With two inversions and heart-pounding launches going 0-70 mph in the tunnel, 95-degree drop, a twisted horseshoe roll, and airtime that’ll have you soaring, this wild ride packs a serious punch.
I recommend that you ride this AMAZING roller coaster at night for the best experience!
Stop 3. Ride Millennium Force
No time for breaks, you’ve got 1 day at Cedar Point to crush your daredevil theme park bucket list, so it’s on to the next beast, Millennium Force.
This over 300 feet tall steel monstrosity has shattered nearly 20 world records and still reigns as a legendary Cedar Point coaster.

Millennium Force is a serious adrenaline rush with 4.5 Gs, speeding up to 93 mph, and that famous 360-degree helix that will get your heart racing.
Stop 4. Hop on the Gemini
Cedar Point’s wooden roller coaster is a classic attraction that never gets old, so I suggest you don’t skip it!
The dueling trains race side-by-side for a showdown through intense drops, twists, and turns.
I also love that this hybrid ride combines the wooden structure with a steel track, for that extra scare factor, as it blasts up to 60 mph for a thrilling 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

Stop 5. Scream Your Head off on Top Thrill 2
Brace yourself because this 2 minute blast of a ride at Cedar Point isn’t for the faint of heart.
It might only be 2 minutes (an improvement from its predecessor with 17 seconds on Top Thrill Dragster), but trust me, this could possibly be the most terrifying 2 minutes of your life.
But if you love a good lung-crushing scream, then Top Thrill 2 can’t be missed.
Stop 6. Conquer Cedar Creek Mine Ride
Cedar Creek Mine Ride is a timeless favorite for all ages with its runaway mining cart soaring you back in time to the Wild West.
It’s a way to slow it down a bit from all the wild coasters, but still getting that double helix action in for some thrills!
Stop 7. Ride the Skyhawk
Now’s the time to ride Skyhawk before lunch!
Because this super-size swing flings you 125 feet in the air, and trust me, your stomach and everyone standing below will thank you for flying on empty.
Stop 8. Hop on the Wave Swinger
Let’s keep the airtime going, just a little closer to the ground this time at 16 feet.
Hopping on the Wave Swinger always brings back a bit of nostalgia on this classic swing ride, and I love that you can see some of the most beautiful views of Cedar Point from above.

Stop 10. Have Lunch at Miss Keat’s Smokehouse or Backbeat Que BBQ
At this point in your 1-day itinerary at Cedar Point, you most likely have worked up an appetite and need to refuel.
I recommend having lunch at Miss Keat’s Smokehouse in Frontiertown.

The menu has lots of hearty favorites like Smoked Brisket, Wings & Sausage, Mac & Cheese, or you can try their new burrito bowls.
BackBeatQue is another great option for lunch at Cedar Point over at Gemini Midway for finger-lickin’ barbecue options and rock ‘n’ roll and Motown vibes.
Stop 11. Explore Frontiertown
Let your lunch settle and spend some time wandering through the Wild West vibes of Frontiertown.
I love that it feels like you are stepping back in time when exploring this Western-themed village.

There are so many old-fashioned buildings and stores, plus it’s packed with cool backdrops and yeehaw-worthy photo-ops.

Time for some wet and wild fun on Thunder Canyon.
This family-size raft ride races you through fast-moving rapids and waterfalls, plus I love the quick cool down and drenching you get.
Stop 13. Conquer Pipe Scream
Right in the middle of the Gemini Midway, you’ll find Pipe Scream.

It’s a super awesome coaster for everyone in the family, where you get to ride the skateboard up and down for over 300 feet of track of peaks and turns.

So, strap on your nerves of steel and bring your courage, this iconic Cedar Point roller coaster shows no mercy for the weak-hearted.
Stop 15. Experience the Power Tower
This one is for my adrenaline junkies!
Power Tower is one epic, scream-worthy ride at Cedar Point, well, that is, if you’re not holding your breath in fear.

This Cedar Point attraction is over in the middle of the park, and trust me, you can’t miss it as it blasts riders into a whopping 240 feet into the air.

Stop 16. Have a Snack
Depending on how your stomach feels after that sky-high thrill, I suggest grabbing a quick snack now.
It’s a good little break to give your body and nerves a chance to reset.
HIPSTER POWER TIP: As you can see, on day one, we’re focusing on the top half of the park: Frontiertown and Gemini Midway for the first half of the day.
Stop 17. Ride Gatekeeper
I love this wing coaster and how it welcomes you into Cedar Point since a section of the track is part of the park’s entrance.

For me, this is one of Cedar Point’s staple roller coasters, so I consider it a must-ride on any Cedar Point trip.
Stop 18. Conquer Valravn
This stomach-lurching dive coaster sits near the front of the park. But as one of the tallest dive coasters in the world at 223 feet, I doubt you’ll miss Valravn.
With a 131-foot drop that gives you the sensation of free-falling at 75 miles per hour, you might just wish you hadn’t found it.
Stop 19. Ride Raptor
If you love that flying feeling, well, riding Raptor is where you want to be next.
Feet dangling and heart racing, you’ll get some serious air soaring at 57 m.p.h.

Add in a 100-foot vertical loop, two inverted corkscrews, a zero gravity roll, and I can’t forget to mention the world’s first ever cobra roll, this ride at Cedar Point is terrifyingly epic.
Stop 20. Enjoy the Antique Cadillac Cars
Let’s get you out of the sky back on solid ground over at the Main Midway on the Antique Cadillac Cars.
This scenic quarter-mile ride gives your heart a chance to chill from all the action and insanity.
Stop 21. Hop on Rougarou
It may not be the fastest roller coaster at Cedar Point, but I would say that this crazy roller coaster is one of the nation’s top floorless roller coaster rides.
This werewolf-inspired coaster has 4 inversions and is filled with scares, drops, twists, and howling speeds of 60 mph.
Stop 22. Experience the Iron Dragon
I love the Iron Dragon because you feel like you are literally flying.

Swooping through the trees and gliding over the Cedar Point Lagoon, it feels magically terrifying at 40 mph.
Stop 23. Ride Blue Streak
I never miss a good classic roller coaster at the theme park, and Blue Streak is one of them.
The 78-foot climb, stomach-flipping hills of all the ups and downs, the rush of 40 mph, it just never gets old.
Stop 24. Conquer maXair
Swinging and spinning you into total weightlessness, maXair is a 70-mph pendulum and one of only two of its kind in the entire U.S.

Stop 26. Have Dinner at The Cedar Point Grand Pavilion
Take a seat and enjoy a relaxing dinner at The Cedar Point Grand Pavilion right along The Boardwalk.

Upstairs, they have a beautiful waterfront bar with gorgeous views of Cedar Point and the Lake Erie shoreline that I always love to check out whenever I get the chance.

For food, I highly recommend the funnel cake fried shrimp, or the crispy beer-battered fish. Both are packed with yummy flavor and have the perfect crunch.

If you want something a little heartier, the carved rotisserie sandwiches and the dry-rubbed pork loin steak sandwich are super savory and seriously satisfying.
Stop 27. Watch a Show
Sure, we all come to the theme park for the screams and thrills, but the shows are actually awesome and worth checking out too.

I find that there is something for everyone when it comes to Cedar Point Shows, from music to laughs, or even ones that are interactive.
Stop 28. Ride Sky Ride
This is another fun favorite ride in my opinion, at this Ohio theme park, whether I am on a solo trip to Cedar Point or with the family.
Sky Ride is a cable car ride with gondolas where you get amazing 360-degree views of Cedar Point, beautiful Lake Erie, and the incredibly beautiful gardens down below.
