Do you know somebody who is a huge runDisney fan and is about to have their first race soon, or perhaps they’re a veteran on their 5th race? If so, I’ll give you a few runDisney gift ideas to get for the runner in your family.
Many of my close friends dedicate lots of time prepping for the races hosted through the runDisney organization. Sometimes I don’t even realize just how hard they are training for one race alone.
Plus, there’s the costly financial obligation that can add up quickly to be a part of one of Disney’s famous marathons.

There are many books online to help your runner prepare for a race. I recommend getting one such as, Magical Miles: The Runner’s Guide to Walt Disney World, which is made specially for participants of the runDisney races.

Most headbands serve many purposes and are necessary for a runDisney go-getter.
Headbands such as, Lululemon Fly Away Tamer Headband II, not only help hold the hair back, but it is also an excellent choice on holding off the sweat from seeping into the eyes and it won’t slip off of your runner’s head.
5 – Entry for Next Race
Payment for an entry to one of the runDisney races is the ultimate gift for that runner in your life.
As mentioned earlier, the cost of participating in a Disney-inpired race can get costly. If you get this for your loved one, you will be the star of the year!
6 – Safety Accessories
Identification bracelets with name, medical conditions, allergies, and emergency contact are important just in case your runner experiences anything unmagical.
Reflective visors or night jogging vests will help keep the runner safe during training sessions that may have to take place in the evening.
7 – Running Belt
A running belt is a lightweight waist pouch used to hold your runner’s wallet, keys, phones, identification cards and other small racing accessories. I recommend the Fitletic brand, which has a variety of sizes and styles to choose from.
The iFitness Neo II is the best option for a runDisney runner.
8 – Running Watch
Watches used for training can range in cost from about $50 to $300 with functions differing based on all the bells and whistles added to the device.
Garmin Forerunner 235 is my recommendation for a watch not too expensive (averages about $219), but still provides features such as wrist-based continuous heart rate monitoring and access to Garmin’s marathon-specific training apps.
9 – Gone for a Run Medal Display
Designers at Gone for a Run produce Disney-inspire high-quality medal displays where your runDisney runner can hang each medal from all the races completed.

I recommend Run Fast. Eat Slow.: Quick-Fix Recipes for Hangry Athletes by Shalane Flanagan.
This cookbook written by Olympian, Shalane Flanagan, is full of pre-run snacks, post-run recovery breakfasts, on-the-go lunches, and 30-minutes-or-less dinner recipes.

Pedicures during the epic spa day is also a great gift for runners who are tough on their feet. Pedicures help reduce foot related issues than can lead to pain in the shins, knees, hips and other areas that are prone to injuries.
