After hours of walking in the Florida sun, sometimes a cold drink, a good meal, and an actual chair sound better than another attraction.

ThemeParkHipster Promise
I’m not going to tell you Lombard’s is amazing simply because it’s inside Universal Studios Florida. And I’m definitely not going to pretend theme park prices don’t matter.
Because they do.
My goal is to help you decide whether this restaurant makes sense for your Universal vacation.
- We’ll talk atmosphere.
- We’ll talk menu prices.
- We’ll talk about what I’d order.
And most importantly, we’ll answer the question I know you’re probably asking: Should I use valuable park time eating here?
Let’s get into it!
What Is Lombard’s Seafood Grille?
Lombard’s Seafood Grille is a full-service seafood restaurant located in the San Francisco section of Universal Studios Florida.
They serve succulent seafood-focused dishes such as Lobster Bisque, Bang Bang Shrimp Bowl, and Salmon Beurre Blanc, alongside some tasty options for those who aren’t exactly seafood fans.
Because whenever someone says “seafood restaurant,” there’s always that one person in the group who immediately makes a face.
But don’t worry—you won’t have to sit there watching everyone else eat! They also have delicious non-seafood choices like the Black Angus Burger and Chicken Alfredo.

First Impressions: This Doesn’t Feel Like a Typical Theme Park Restaurant
The first thing I notice about Lombard’s is the atmosphere. There’s something almost old-school about it.
The waterfront setting, the nautical details, and the more traditional dining room.
It feels like a restaurant that belongs to an earlier era of Universal Studios Florida, and I mean that in a good way. Actually, I find it really charming and comforting.
Universal Orlando has become so good at creating highly immersive dining environments that sometimes we expect every restaurant to have a complicated backstory.
Lombard’s doesn’t need one.
You sit down. You order seafood. You rest your feet. You enjoy the atmosphere, and you enjoy some really good food.
And after spending the morning weaving through theme park crowds, there’s something comforting about that simplicity… at least to me!
The Atmosphere at Lombard’s Seafood Grille
If you’re looking for the high-energy atmosphere of The Three Broomsticks or the over-the-top sweetness of Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, this isn’t that.
Lombard’s feels quieter. It’s more traditional and a little more grown-up without being stuffy.
And before you ask… no, you don’t need to dress up.
You are still inside a theme park. So, shorts, theme park t-shirt, hair currently losing a battle with Florida humidity. Welcome to Orlando, friend. You are amongst friends here!
What I appreciate most is being able to sit down in an air-conditioned dining room and mentally reset.
Sometimes we underestimate how much a real break can improve the second half of a theme park day.

What Should You Order at Lombard’s Seafood Grille?
Start with the Lobster Bisque, Crispy Calamari, or Shrimp Cocktail.

When I visited this seafood restaurant at Universal Orlando Resort, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: go for the seafood! I mean, I’m at Lombard’s Seafood Grille, so this seemed like the perfect time to take advantage of it.
I went with the Crispy Calamari which features house-made pickles, fried buttermilk squid, caper tartar sauce, and onion. It was so flavorful, and exactly the kind of appetizer I’d happily order again.
The Lobster Bisque is another classic choice if you want something warm and rich before your entrée.
The Lobster Roll: Is It Worth $38?
Let’s address the lobster in the room. At the time I’m writing this, the official menu lists the Lobster Roll at $38.
Thirty-eight dollars for a theme park lobster roll is not an impulse decision. While it may be consists of lobster meat, Dijon mayo, lime and lemon zest on a brioche roll with house-made potato chips, I need to consult my budget and possibly call my financial advisor.
I’m joking…Kind of.
Here’s my honest take.
If you LOVE lobster rolls and this is your one sit-down meal at Universal Studios Florida, then go for it. You’re on vacation.
But if you’re simply looking for a filling meal before getting back on the rides, I think there are other menu options that make more sense from a value perspective.
This is why I don’t believe there’s one “best” Universal restaurant for everyone. Your priorities matter.
The Salmon Beurre Blanc Is for My Seafood Lovers
The Salmon Beurre Blanc is one of the more elevated entrées on the menu.

The current version features Verlasso salmon with arugula, parsnip, bacon, piquillo peppers, parsley oil and citrus beurre blanc.
This is the dish I’d consider if I wanted my meal to feel like an actual dining experience rather than a theme park refueling stop.

What If You Don’t Like Seafood?
You can still eat here!
The current menu includes The Burger, made with a half-pound Black Angus beef patty, house aioli, pepper jack cheese, house-made pickles and sugar bacon on a brioche bun with French fries.
There’s also dishes like Chicken Alfredo, California Forager and Grilled Bistro Tender.
Although…Theme Park fries have gotten me through some difficult situations, sometimes you just need a really good meal.
Is Lombard’s Seafood Grille Good for Kids?
Yes! The children’s menu is designed for guests ages 9 and younger and includes Penne with Marinara Sauce, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Fingers and a Lombard’s Burger.

Kids’ meals include a choice of two sides, with options such as applesauce, broccolini, grapes, French fries and mashed potatoes.
There are also desserts for the young ones, vanilla or chocolate Lombard’s Ice Cream and fruit sorbet.

Should You Make a Reservation at Lombard’s?
I would. Universal currently includes Lombard’s among its restaurants with dining reservations available online.
Do you absolutely need a reservation every single day?
Probably not. But I’m a planner. And if I know I want a sit-down meal during a busy Universal Studios Florida day, I’d rather have the reservation than stand outside hungry trying to figure out Plan B.
You can review dining reservation options through Universal Orlando’s official dining reservations page.
HIPSTER POWER TIP: Book an early lunch. I like the idea of eating around 11:30 a.m. or noon. You’ll have already enjoyed a productive morning in the park, and the meal gives you a natural break before the afternoon heat really starts doing the most.
Is Lombard’s Good for Solo Travelers?
Absolutely!

And let me talk to my solo ThemeParkHipsters for a second.
Please stop thinking you need to “save” sit-down restaurants for when you’re traveling with someone.
You don’t. You deserve the incredible meal and the air conditioning too!
One of the things I love about solo theme park travel is being able to listen to my body.
If I’m hungry, I eat.
If I’m tired, I sit down.
If I want a full-service lunch in the middle of my park day, I don’t need to hold a committee meeting about it.
Lombard’s is the type of restaurant where I’d feel completely comfortable dining alone. Bring your phone. Review the photos you took that morning. Look over your park plan.
Or, and I know this is a radical idea, do absolutely nothing! Sit there. Enjoy your food. People-watch.
Your vacation does not need to be productive every second.
How Long Should You Plan for Your Meal?
I’d give yourself about 60 to 90 minutes.
This is not where I’d eat if I had three hours left in the park and seven attractions still on my must-do list.
Lombard’s is a pause. That’s the best way I can describe it.
If you’re trying to maximize every attraction, choose a quick-service restaurant. But if you’ve built breathing room into your itinerary, Lombard’s makes much more sense.
Is Lombard’s Seafood Grille Expensive?
Yes. Let’s not dance around it.
The current menu lists several entrées in the $24-to-$42 range, including the $38 Lobster Roll and $39 Salmon Beurre Blanc. The Burger is currently listed at $24 and Chicken Alfredo at $28.
Once you add an appetizer, drink and gratuity, this can become an expensive theme park meal.
So, is the price worth it?
That depends on what you’re buying. You’re not only paying for food, but you’re also paying for table service, air conditioning, a slower peaceful pace along the waterfront.
For some people, that’s absolutely worth the premium. For others, it isn’t. And both answers are okay.
Lombard’s Seafood Grille vs. Quick-Service Dining
Here’s my simple breakdown:
| Choose Lombard’s If… | Choose Quick Service If… |
| You want a real break | You want to maximize ride time |
| You love seafood | You’re eating on a tighter budget |
| You want table service | You need food quickly |
| You’re planning a slower park day | You only have one day at Universal |
| You’re comfortable spending more on lunch | You’d rather spend money on snacks or souvenirs |
See? No dramatic declaration needed.
Sometimes the “best” restaurant is simply the one that fits your day. That’s my ThemeParkHipster Ted Talk for the day, haha!
My Perfect Lombard’s Seafood Grille Game Plan
If you were visiting Universal Studios Florida with me, here’s how I’d fit Lombard’s into our day.
- Park Opening – Start With Attractions: We’re not eating yet. We’ve got work to do! I’d use the cooler morning hours to experience our priority attractions.
- 11:30 a.m. – Head to Lombard’s: By now, we’ve walked enough to appreciate a chair.
- Noon – Enjoy Lunch: No rushing. This is our reset.
- 1:00 p.m. – Reevaluate the Day: What have we already accomplished? What’s our top priority for the afternoon? Do we need another coffee? The answer is probably yes.
- Afternoon – Return to the Park Refreshed: This is why I like a proper lunch break. You leave feeling like you’re starting a second theme park day.

NikkyJ’s Favorite Part – The pause…
I know that’s probably not the answer you expected in a restaurant review, but hear me out.
Orlando theme park vacations can become exhausting because we feel pressure to constantly be doing something.
- Ride.
- Walk.
- Eat.
- Take a photo.
- Check the app.
- Walk faster.
Lombard’s gives you permission to stop. And sometimes that hour sitting in the air conditioning is exactly what you need to fall back in love with your theme park day.
My Quiet Escape
Ask for a table where you can settle in and enjoy the atmosphere. Put your phone away for a few minutes, just long enough to let your brain leave itinerary mode and relax.
You’ll be surprised how different the park feels when you walk back outside.
Photo Worth Stopping For
Don’t rush past the restaurant exterior.

The San Francisco waterfront area has a completely different look from the rest of Universal Studios Florida.
I love taking a moment to appreciate this part of the park because it’s easy to overlook when everyone is rushing toward the next attraction.
One Bite I’d Try First
My top picks at Lombard’s Seafood Grille? Go for the Tuna Crudo or the Crispy Calamari.
Both are a great way to lean into the seafood theme at Lombard’s, and honestly, the flavors are so incredibly good.
If This Were My Friend’s First Visit…
I’d ask you one question: What kind of Universal day are you trying to have?
If you said, “Nikky, I only have one day, and I want to ride EVERYTHING,” I’d probably steer you toward quick service. I love you, but we have no time for beurre blanc.
However, if you told me you wanted to enjoy Universal Studios Florida without feeling completely exhausted by 5 p.m.?
I’d make us a lunch reservation.
We’d spend the morning exploring the park, then we’d sit down at Lombard’s, order something good, talk about our favorite attraction so far, and laugh about whatever ridiculous thing happened that morning.
And when we walked back outside? We’d be ready for round two.

That’s how I think a theme park day should feel.
Not like a marathon you’re trying to survive, but like an adventure you’re actually enjoying.

My Honest Review: Is Lombard’s Seafood Grille Worth It?
Here’s my honest answer…
Lombard’s isn’t for every Universal Studios Florida day, and I actually think that’s okay. This Universal Orlando Resort seafood restaurant is the place to go when you want to slow things down, satisfy a seafood craving, and enjoy a little bit of calm in the middle of a very busy Universal Studios day.
Because after years of visiting theme parks, I’ve learned something, you don’t always remember how many rides you completed.
So, is it the flashiest restaurant at Universal Orlando? Nope!
Is it the cheapest? Definitely not.
But if you’re craving seafood, air conditioning, and an hour where nobody is telling you the wait time for Revenge of the Mummy… Lombard’s might be exactly where you need to be.
