Best Thing I Ever Ate: Chicken and Waffle at Universal Studios

We’re taking it to the south for this week’s Best Thing I Ever Ate series! I’m a southern ThemePark gal whose roots are in central Florida. When we eat, we eat and it becomes more like a spiritual experience than a moment of must have sustenance. It’s no wonder that Cletus’ Chicken Shack over at Universal Studios Orlando has my foodie heart with its savory Chicken and Waffle sandwich.

Goodbye Maelstrom

In case you are not aware the last boat ride of Maelstrom into the wintery mysteries of Norway will take place this Sunday, October 5, 2014. The announcement came as a shocker to most Epcot fans; however, the rumor of its Frozen-themed replacement surfaced on the Internet a few months ago and I can admit that I did not believe it. I swore my friends up and down that there was absolutely NO WAY Disney would close such a classic and replace it with, what I felt was, a temporary cultural fad.

But as I continued to think about it, I realized that Maelstrom was no different from Horizons, World of Motions, or even El Rio Del Tiempo.

2014 Halloween Horror Nights Sneak Peek

It’s that time of year again for the 2014 Halloween Horror Nights daily sneak peeks as we anxiously await the opening of the annual haunted event. The pumpkins, the scarecrows, and oh yeah the bloody human organs that layer the streets of Universal Studios are all indicative of the Halloween festivities around the corner.

Yesterday I took a walk around the park to see if there were any hints of just how scary and taunting this year’s fearful festival would be. And boy was I freakishly impressed. Although many attractions were covered I was able to get a glimpse of a few set designs lining the park.
