The Seven Dwarfs mine train is taking its first, of many, test rides in New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. Now we can truly start to get excited about this epic attraction that will be opening in the early part of 2014.
As I sit here prepping for the holiday season ahead, I realize that each year goes by faster and faster. Sometimes the earlier portions of the year feel so far in the distant, like a thick foggy Florida morning. A week may every now and then seem so long ago.
Disney’s Haunted Mansion is one of the top attractions among ThemeParkHipsters, so much so that there is a large fandom that encompasses fan fiction, meetups, collectibles, comics, and numerous pop culture mentions around the world! I’ve always enjoyed the ride, but I could never quite ride it alone (no surprise there).
Dessert overload with sweetness swirling throughout my palate, sugarplums dancing on my plates, and divine nectar of the vine to quench my thirst were all a part of my dining experience during my 3D Disney’s Dessert Discovery adventure at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.
What do you call an experience globetrotting the many cuisines of multiple countries in one day??? I call it Tasting My Way Around the World at EPCOT! This year’s event was really peaceful and enjoyable. I guess it was due to the fact that I’d tasted most of the items from previous years so this time I was able to focus solely on trying new dishes, new cocktails, and new seminars.
A one of a kind frightening mission I must say regarding my Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights experience.
Solo it was!
Man, if you would have asked me ten years ago, “Nikky can you do Halloween Horror Nights alone?” I would have looked at you like you were a crazy man just being released from the psych ward. The decision to attend this event was only to give you all an inside look, especially if you’re not able to make it this year.
The things I will do for my readers 🙂
Villains of the many Disney classics were all out in their entire glory! Friday the 13th was upon us and the night was invaded with the mischievous characters we’ve all come to have a love-hate relationship with. The sinister atmosphere at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was electric. Maybe it was due to the menacing villainous presence, or the huge crowd drawn in for the rare event. Either way it goes, it was entertaining.
This week’s ThemeParkHipster highlight from Dan!
How’s it going? Thanks for all the great hipster news you post. I went to opening night at Halloween Horror Nights and recorded every maze. I also have videos of the Scare Zones, Jurassic Park and two videos from the RIP experience including a Insidious Experience and Back Lot Tour. I hope you enjoy it.
There are many rumors circulating about what building is for each attraction.
I have my own opinions too, but what do you think?
I had the pleasure of attending the 2013 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, which actually turned out to be one of my best times at the park. The cooler temperature was balanced by the soft kisses of the Florida sun on my skin. Immediately upon entering EPCOT I was greeted by the beloved faces of the Disney brand enjoying they’re rendition of a colorful springtime bar-b-que.
