Dining in Luxury: New Victoria & Albert’s Menu at Disney!

For food enthusiasts with an unlimited budget to indulged, you’ll be happy to know that Disney’s Grand Floridian restaurant Victoria & Albert’s has debut a new 10-course menu. Obviously, a ThemeParkHipster, like me, will most likely not partake in this cool new cuisine until I am done with my Dave Ramsey plan (basically when I am debt free and a $500 meal will by no means affect me).

Victoria & Albert’s has been on my theme park bucket list since 2013. I listed it in my 2013 and 2014 New Year’s Resolution post, but I never quite made the foodie trek or most of the resolutions listed for either year…not too proud of that.

I do, however, live vicariously through others who have experienced and enjoyed this delicious feat by obsessively staring at photos and replaying videos of previous diners.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, the award-winning dining room has added a new Chef’s Degustation Menu, a series of 10 small courses featuring some of Chef Scott Hunnel’s favorite dishes inspired by the seasons and by his world travels to Asia, Spain, Italy and France. The seven-course Chef’s Tasting Menu will remain, and the kitchen will continue to meld tradition with innovative cuisine “for an avant-garde culinary journey,” says Israel Perez, maître d’hôtel. Other big changes include a focus on food-and-wine pairings in the adjacent Queen Victoria Room.

Diners will be offered Chef Hunnel’s 10-course menu paired with exclusive wines from Victoria & Albert’s extensive wine collection.

The seven-course menu is $185 ($250 with wine pairings); the 10-course menu is $235 ($340 with wine pairings). Dinner in the Queen Victoria Room is $340, and includes 10 courses paired with wine. The Chef’s Table in the kitchen is $250.

Victoria & Albert’s has the distinction of being the only AAA Five Diamond restaurant in Central Florida (one of only three in the state). This Grand Floridian restaurant is open daily for dinner and continues to raise the bar in luxury dining.

Have you ever dined here? If so, what is your favorite dish on the Victoria & Albert’s menu?

Until next time, happy dining Hipsters!
